¢99 Stories (or our “Featured Stories”) are generally 3,000 words or more and, you know, cost ¢99.
Why do we charge ¢99 for these? Because of their length and the time put into writing and editing them (and creating a cover), ¢99 is a price we decided is fair both as compensation to the artists involved and to you, the reader. It’s less than the price of a soft drink (ok, not cans, but you know what we mean). Be healthier—buy stories from emerging writers instead of drinking more soda. Pubs for Plebs believes the future is bright. As such, we want to provide an opportunity once a week to showcase a story from the next generation of writers. High School Stories are written by, you guessed it, high schoolers. They fall into our free story category as far as length (3000 or less words) and price (free, in case you didn’t catch that).
